This 4-part stackable ceramic sculpture is designed to have a delicately balanced construction.

While certainly part of (adjacent to?) my “Constructed Harmony” series, this composition experiments with a different shaped central element and alternative connection method to explore new opportunities.

Extremely tactile, this piece invites touch, but be careful…

Fired raw with elements of clear glaze detail and overall dimensions of 200x155x155mm, the rounded components were wheel thrown and trimmed into their unique shapes, while the square disc was slab rolled, measured and carved by hand. All elements were then fired to 1280°C for a textured, tactile, crafted (and wonderfully precarious) finish.
