Agon Typeface (2022)

Exploring my love of positive and negative space, not to mention optical illusion, Agon is a typeface designed to mess with your brain a little bit (sorry...). Even the name ‘Agon’ stems from the word ‘Agony’, which was the reaction of the first few people who saw its early development.

Based on a 3x4 grid of grouped vertical or horizontal lines, the direction of the elements relate the previously mentioned positive or negative space. 

Vertical lines mean “there is letter”, horizontal lines mean “there is no letter”.
