Abridge Typeface (2020)
Abridge is a pixel-like variable typeface created after wondering what would happen if elements of letterforms moved around in order to scramble or encrypt a message.
The uppercase letterforms are consist of larger segments, while the lowercase is broken up into smaller and more varied segments. Each variable axis shift various parts either up, down, left, right or allow for a combination of all.
The interesting (and wonderful) consequence of this is that letters start to interact and interfere with the letters either side and/or above and below them. Making for a beautiful cacophony of undecipherable elements.
