Ahhh! Typeface (2020)

In late 2020, LCI Melbourne asked me to speak a little about my design process for one of their Open Days. 

I took the opportunity to highlight my iterative type design process by drawing a large series of A’s on a double page spread in one of my gridded sketchbooks. After that was finished, I then decided to expand on them more to create a complete font made entirely out of A’s, because why not?

The final typeface includes over 160 variations including 2 alternates for the upper and lowercase, as well as a keyboards worth of numbers and punctuation.
