WIP Typographic Chalkboard Mural (2022)

After success of my previous typographic chalkboard mural for LCI Melbourne, I was asked in 2022 to create another.

Positioned in the student area, I wanted to once again bring a subtle level of encouragement and insight to the creative process for the new mural. For this version, I decided to present letterforms from all of my work in progress or incomplete alphabets to date, aiming to convey that behind the scenes of artists and designers, there is very often projects that go unfinished, get paused, moved away from, trapped in the tinkering phase or that are simply not finished yet.

Showing 21 different typographic explorations (with a few variations from within the same alphabetic set), the mural depicts multiple ideas, pathways, deviations and creative options yet to have their moment in the sun.
