Exploring concepts of simulated history and future discovery, this framed typographic ceramic artwork uses a pen plotter machine with handmade tool to etch my typographic mantra into clay. Written using my custom exploratory typeface 'Edie', this piece forms part of my ongoing exploration of letterforms, code and clay.
Underglazed in black then carved with a pen plotter (CNC drawing machine) and refined by hand to crafted finish before being fired to 1280°C. This piece measures approx 205 x 205mm framed.

With ceramic objects potentially lasting for hundreds, if not, thousands of years, there is a fun thought that this artwork could be discovered as an undeciphered lost script eons in the future.
